Karachi: Former fast bowler of the Pakistani cricket team said that instead of running after BCCI to better ties between the two countries, PCB should focus on changing the green shirts capacity from national players to international players. He spoke of these words while expressing his views on the CLT20 2013, in which Faisalabad Wolves, Pakistani team had been delayed for issuing visa by the Indian government for upcoming tournament that is scheduled to begin from 15 of September, coming Sunday. However now Faisalabad Wolves has been granted visa to travel to India.
The 38-year-old said that I am not surprised by the Indian cricket board attitude because when at the state level the two countries do not enjoy good terms then why expect the BCCI for co-operation.
The outspoken player said that we need to stop running after India. The time they had invited our players to their homeland for the Champions League, instead of accepting the offer we should have responded with ‘thank you’. Shoaib said that PCB needs to put efforts in upgrading the national team’s performance so that they can out reach for international sports.
Setting example of the Indian captain M.S.Dhoni Shoaib said that he took the team to another level through his performance. ‘Like Imran Khan he does not has good looks but has all the qualities of a good captain’.
‘’ We need to strengthen our domestic cricket. ICC and the other member boards need to realize injecting money in one-day international and test cricket’.
