SMS Service Initiated For Karachi Traffic Updates

Karachi: To lessen people worries and to avoid them from getting trapped in traffic jams, Karachi Traffic police have come with mobile phone SMS service. The service is aimed to inform people about the traffics at various rounds-bouts, alternate routes, telling about the traffic jams and the construction work that may stand as hurdle for people to cross the roads.

The service is initiated to inform people about the fly over, bridges, under passes, round-bout that may not be available due to the construction work. Spokesman of Sindh Police has said that the citizens can avail the service by typing ‘T’ in the message box and then sending it to 8655.

Details about the traffic situations in the city would appear in few minutes as according to the organized procedure. The system has been introduced to ease the masses from the time wastage and the problems they encounter while travelling.

The initiative taken to facilitate the already deprived masses is a good, positive measure. Every day around several incidents cases appear due to the traffic chaos. This would help to control over the issue.
