Lahore Grammar School Removes Islamic Studies from Syllabus

Lahore:  Lahore Grammar School (LGS) is reported to have removed Islamic Studies as part of the curriculum syllabus for Standard 7. Instead of Islam as a subject, Hinduism and Sikhism are introduced as the new subjects with students being forced to learn the satanic beliefs. This step is said to be taken at the main campus of the school, 55 Main Gulberg Campus. LGS is facing opposition from the students and the Muslims all over the social websites.
Being established in 1979, LGS is a Lahore based private institution that imparts education to both the genera till A-levels. The school runs on Cambridge system .It has its college, LGS College for Women that offers bachelor and degree programs in arts, computers and science. Branches operate in Islamabad, Karachi, Quetta, Peshawar, Multan, Faisalabad, Sialkot, Wah Cantt and Gujranwala.
The school bears the moral: ‘Educations brings enlightenment to heart and mind’. What kind of enlightenment are they paving for the young scholars? Has any Western institution introduced Islam as a subject in their curriculum? Where are we heading to? The government due to negligence of the issues is paving for such ‘western admired elements’ to enjoy practicing the anti-Islamic things which are strongly objectionable to every Muslim in the society.
Official website of the school is lgs.edu.pk. You can contact School Administration by taking email and phone numbers from Website.
