LAHORE – The government is considering establishing an authorised Commission for Overseas Pakistanis to cater complains of Pakistanis worldwide.
Irked over the slow bureaucratic tactics at Pakistan embassies and in the country, overseas Pakistanis have always demanded to empower them to play their role for the uplift of the country.
Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar, governor of Punjab while talking with official news agency of the country, APP, said that expatriates, majority of them, settled across the world were facing hardships in redressal of their grievances regarding their properties and other matters in Pakistan.
He hinted at a full-fledged secretariat of the proposed commission at Lahore, the provincial capital, which will be governed by an Overseas Pakistanis Commissioners Punjab.
This will provide one-roof services to overseas Pakistanis, Sarwar, who hailed from United Kingdom to take the charge as governor, said.
Did these services only for punjab residents ? or for all Pakistani ?
