Shah Mehmood Qureshi’s brother spills beans on PTI takeover plan

ISLAMABAD: Makhdoom Murid Hussain Qureshi, brother of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Vice Chairman, Shah Mehmood Qureshi, has disclosed his brother told him that he will become chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e- Insaf within two years time.

Speaking to renowned senior journalist Hamid Mir, Mureed Hussain Qureshi said, his brother told him that within two years Imran Khan would no longer be in PTI and he would be at the helm of affairs.

He said that Shah Mehmood would tell people in his constituency that he was the army’s man.

He said Shah Mehmood told him in 2011 that he was going to meet a general in Abu Dhabi. “Qureshi sought my support, as he tried to convince me that he would soon become PTI chairman,” he said.

Mureed also said, that he doesn’t consider his brother to be the Gaddi Nasheen (descendant of the Pir and leader of spiritual followers) adding that a Gaddi Nasheen does not get up on stage and dance.
